Citizenship Washington Focus is a 4-H leadership program for high school youth. Delegations from across the country attend this 6 day program at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center, located just outside Washington, D.C. The program is aimed at enriching young people's lives by broadening their appreciation and respect for themselves and others in the world. Participants attend workshops, committees, field trips and social events, giving them hands-on opportunities to learn and grow. Participants learn and practice skills that will make them better citizens and more successful individuals.
Eligible Participants
CWF is open to all Florida 4-H members 14 to 19 years old as of September 1, 2011.
Registration Information
A $150 non-refundable deposit & registration form are due by Thursday, Jan 26. Checks are made payable to the Florida 4-H Foundation. Additional forms will be sent to registered individuals after February 15, 2012.
Check and registration form are due to the State Events Office. Registration will be done on a first come - first serve basis. Please see registration form for more information.
Costs
The standard registration package for CWF is $745 per person, plus tax. Delegates and/or counties will be responsible for all costs. The remaining $595 will be due by May 15, 2012. 4-H will provide a charter bus for transportation to and from Washington, D.C., and during the week of CWF. Transportation costs will be determined by the number of participants, and will be announced after the final delegation size is determined. It is estimated to be between $200 and $350 per participant.
