4-H Day at the Capitol
Held in Tallahasse, Fl, 4-H Day at the Capitol give youth the chance to experience goverment on a whole new level. The chance to meet with their Legislators and tour the buildings around the capitol.
4-H Day of Service
This project is a call to action for 4-H members to engage in service projects that tie into the elements of the 4-H pledge – Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.we invite you to join 4-H members across the state and country, in a 4-H Day of Service by holding your own service project!.
Leadership Adventure Weekend
This year, Leadership Adventure Weekend (LAW) is now open for 13 yrs. old and up (by September 1, 2011). This state event is about teaching youth leadership skills through workshops, funshops, and networking. At this year’s L.A.W. youth will learn how to help facilitate activities that can be used at summer day and residential camp, district, county and club meetings. Each youth will learn the ins and outs of working with youth, how to develop a day camp, and subject matters will cover nutrition, fitness, GPS, robotics, and more. Sign-up your county today!

Executive Board
The Executive Board consists of four delegates from each of the thirteen 4-H districts, up to twenty presidential appointees, and the eight state officers.
The Executive Board is a group of youth from across the state that represent their county and district. The members attend working committee meetings during which they offer input into events such as Congress, Legislature, and Senior Leadership Adventure Weekend (LAW)
Florida 4-H Congress
Held on the campus of the University of Florida during the summer, this is a fabulous week in which 4-H members can have fun and learn alongside other 4-H'ers from all over Florida. Congress is divided into competitive and non-competitive sessions. The non-competitive portion is devoted to educational workshops on a variety of subjects addressing the interests of Florida's youth.
The competitive portion of the event is where first place senior District Winners compete against other District Winners in a variety of events. County 4-H Teams also compete against one another in various Judging Team Contests. In addition, each county sends their two voting delegates to attend the State 4-H Council Meetings. Interviews for State Recognition and Scholarship applicants are conducted during this event.
Florida 4-H Legislature
The Florida 4-H Legislature is a five day learning laboratory in state government designed to give participants educational experiences such as: learning about the functions of state level government, becoming informed about the state system of government, serving as mock legislators, reporters or lobbyists, meeting in the committee rooms of the House of Representatives as well as the House Chambers, and touring the State Capitol, Supreme Court, Archives and/or other State Buildings.
Florida 4-H Residential Summer Camps
The summer county camps are generally five days in length and introduce 4-H youth to various topics including natural resources, ecology, and leadership activities. The typical county camp program also includes recreational activities such as canoeing, hiking, swimming, and snorkeling. Contact the county 4-H agent for specific dates and information.
4-H Volunteer Leader Forums
These 4-H volunteer staff development opportunities are designed to provide a range of interesting and useful learning experiences which are applicable to "back-home" 4-H goals and objectives. Volunteers will have the opportunity to share ideas that have worked for them, gain knowledge and skills in working with youth, increase ability in organizing and motivating 4-H leaders, and encourage teamwork in Program Development.
