Intergenerational Project
In the 4-H Intergenerational project, you will learn:
- how to assume leadership roles by teaching and helping others;
- how to engage in civic governance and community decision-making;
- how to effectively communicate with others; and
- skills such as decision-making, getting along with others, planning and organizing, and responsibility.
Project Materials - INTERGENERATIONAL
(For Youth Ages 8-18)
This project book series teaches you about the affects of aging while encouraging you to communicate with older generations and people with disabilities. Through experiential learning, you can identify and dispel your attitudes toward aging and learn how it feels to grow older.

IG A Walk in My Shoes
INTERGENERATIONAL - Levels 1, 2 and 3
(Ages 8-18)
- Walk in My Shoes teaches 4-Hers to to understand older people better by sharing their experiences. You will learn, through many activities, what it feels like to grow older and what happens to our bodies as we age. Available through the University of Illinois.
