State Contests for 4-H Youth
The Marine Ecology Event is a annual competitive event open to all 4-Hers that helps increase their awareness and appreciation of Florida's marine habitats and organisms. It is usually held in early November. Stay tuned for when next year's event will be held! A Marine and Aquatic Photography Contest is held at the same time in conjunction with the Marine Ecology Event.
Youth Camping Opportunities
Marine Camp is a summer residential camping program that offers youth closer encounters with the marine world. Outdoor Ed-Venture Camps provide youth with additional aquatic and outdoor adventures. Check with your County Extension office for local opportunities to learn about aquatic and/or marine life.
4-H Sportfishing Program
Florida 4-H has a youth Sportfishing Program. Click on the name to find out about upcoming activities, trainings, and available resources. Sportfishing camps offer youth opportunities to learn about fishing and fishing related skills such as casting, tackle crafting, aquatic ecology, and more.
Adult Learning Opportunities
Training programs in marine education and fishing are offered to 4-H Faculty and Volunteers. Stay tuned for upcoming training annoucements!

Florida Sea Grant
Florida Sea Grant seeks to increase marine literacy among people of all ages and offers a variety of programs and resources in marine and environmental sciences. Florida Sea Grant faculty provide marine education programs to both formal and non-formal educators. Florida Sea Grant faculty work with 4-H agents, volunteers, and youth in the development and delivery of marine science programs. For more information on Sea Grant marine education, click here.
